Delores Wilson

Delores Wilson, lifelong resident of Antigo, passed away on December 27, 2022 at the Bay at Eastview at the age of 93.

Delores was born on September 10, 1929 in Antigo to the late Leon and Elizabeth (Schacher) Fischer.

On July 2, 1949, she was united in marriage to Douglas Wilson at St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church in Deerbrook. He preceded her in death on December 28, 1995.

Delores attended Deerbrook State Graded and then went on to graduate from Antigo High School in 1947. She worked for Weinbrenner Shoe Factory. After leaving the shoe factor she took over the Deerbrook Star Route, delivering to customers in Kempster, Pearson, Pickerel, Rollingstone and surrounding areas until her retirement in 1988. She served this community for over 25 years.

She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary #2653.

Delores was a member of St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church in Deerbrook.

Survivors include a sister Eleanor Muraski of West Bend, WI a daughter Debra Duchan of Wausau, WI nephew Mark (Amy) Guenthner of Cottage Grove, WI, niece Amy (David) Kreutzer of West Bend, WI, Karen (Jerry) Hawkins of South Jordan, UT. Further survived by other cousins, family and friends.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2023 at 1 PM at Strasser-Roller Funeral Home, 504 Edison Street, Antigo, WI. Visitation will be from 12 Noon until the service at the funeral home.

The family extends grateful gratitude to all staff at the Bay at Eastview for their loving care and comfort of Delores.
