Donald James Fritsch, because of his faith in the Lord as his savior, entered his eternal home on Monday, January 2, 2023. Don resided in the town of Norwood and was cared for by his family and LeRoyer Hospice.
He was born August 3, 1951 to the late Elmer and Lucille (Mikkelson) Fritsch.
He was a graduate of Antigo High School class of 1970.
Don was united in marriage to Wanda Debroux on September 1, 1973 in Howe, IN.
He was employed by Southside Tire for 33 years, Walmart for 12 years, and most recently was employed by the City of Antigo as a crossing guard.
He had many enjoyments including 4-wheeling, playing horseshoes, bowling, hunting, golfing, baseball, and pool league. He was also an avid Packer and Brewer fan. He had a great love of animals, especially dogs.
Don was a member of Ascension Lutheran Church for 38 years. His faith and family were of utmost importance.
Survivors in addition to his wife Wanda, include sons: Shawn (Dacia) of Wausau, Jason (Iris) of Madison, Justin of Antigo, grandchildren: Brian, Alex, Ondrea, Keegan and Owen, siblings: Richard "Dick" (Bonnie) Fritsch, Margaret (Pete) Rolin, Arlene Brown, in-laws: Norma Fritsch, Mike (Anne) DeBroux, Kay (Wayne) Sailer, Lori Hoppock (Cal), Brenda (Eddie Pratt) Debroux, and Todd (Heather) Debroux. Don is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
In addition to his parents, Don was preceded in death by siblings and in-laws: Bob (Connie) Fritsch, Carol (Fred) Vander Kooi, Lila (Norman) Dickman, and Duane Fritsch.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 9 at 3:00 p.m. at Ascension Lutheran Church. Visitation will be at the church on Monday from 1:00 p.m. until the service. Casual attire is encouraged and feel free to wear your favorite Green Bay Packer shirt.
The family of Don extends a special thank you to all the medical staff and caregivers for their care and compassion throughout Don's illness.
