Doris Mae Kelm, of Antigo, died Friday, November 23, 2012 at KHTRC – Eastview. She was 85 years old. She was born Oct. 9, 1927 in Antigo, daughter of the late Walter and Eleanor (Novak) Shadick. She married Herbert Kelm on August 24, 1946. Herbert preceded her in death in 1986. She attended St. John's School, and graduated from Antigo High School with the class of 1946. She then attended beauty school, and worked at Mode Beauty Shop. She was later employed at Antigo Bakery for 22 years. Mrs. Kelm was past and last president of the Antigo Chapter of the Lady Elks, and she also was a member of the Langlade Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. Survivors include a daughter, Karen (Anthony) Spychalla of Antigo; a son Fred (Kathleen) Kelm of Antigo; 4 grandchildren, Jennifer Krahenbuhl of Neenah, Rebecca Hilger of Antigo, Anthony John of Rochester, MN, and Noelle Washatko of Antigo; and 6 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband. A memorial service will take place on Sunday at 5:00 P.M. at Strasser-Roller Funeral Home, with Fr. Charles Hoffmann officiating. Visitation will be Sunday from 3:00-5:00 at the funeral home. A private burial will take place at Town of Norwood Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Langlade Hospital Radiation Unit.
