Dorothy Mae Dyson

Dorothy Mae Dyson, age 80, of Antigo died Sunday at her home under the care of her husband and Le Royer Hospice. Mrs. Dyson was born August 27, 1932 in the Town of Norwood to the late Paul John, Sr. and Gladys (Bowen) Fritsch. On February 28, 1953, she was united in marriage to Leroy Dyson at First Baptist Church in Antigo. Mrs. Dyson worked as a news editor, worked in the credit department at Sears and Roebuck in Racine, and also in the advertising department at Oster, Inc. in Racine. She and her husband also owned and operated a farm in Burlington, WI for 47 years. Mrs. Dyson was active in 4-H as member and a leader. She a member of the Extension Homemakers for 40 years, was a member of Daughters of the American Revolution, Daughters of American Colonists, National Iris, Daylily, and Peony Societies. She was a graduate of Antigo High School class of 1950. Survivors in addition to her husband include, a daughter, Mary (Charles) Ghilani of Pennsylvania and 2 sons Alan Dyson of Antigo and John (Lisa) Dyson of Slinger, sisters Eileen (Donald) Artz of Rothschild and Bonnie (Kenneth) Brand of Spooner and a brother, Paul John Fritsch, Jr. of West Salem. She was preceded in death by her parents and 3 brother-in-laws Clarence DeLyria, Leonard Bombinski and Wayne Dyson. A visitation will be held on Wednesday from 4:00-7:00PM at Strasser-Roller Funeral Home. A service will be held at 6:00PM Wednesday at the funeral home. Reverend Louise Sanford will officiate.
