Dorothy Marie Rose

Dorothy Marie Rose, 87, of Antigo, died Thursday at Eastview Medical and Rehabilitation Center. Mrs. Rose was born June 12, 1924 to the late Joseph and Marie (Schisel) Skarlupka in the Town of Norwood. She married Elmer Elsworth Rose, Sr. on June 20, 1942 in Antigo. He preceded her in death in 1993. The family dairy farmed in the Town of Ackley for many years. Survivors include 3 daughters, Sr. Janet Rose of Kauai, HI, Ruth (Ed) Welch of Merrill, Sr. Joy Rose of Kaukauna, 3 sons, Elmer Jr. (Robin) of Antigo, Henry (Michelle) of Merrill, Al (Kris) of Gleason, 17 grandchildren, Peter (Melissa) of Madison, Paul (Katy) of Portage,MI, Rachel (Bill) Mason of Elmira,MI, Theresa (Clayton) Keene of Westboro, Rebecca (Dave) Hilgart of Wausau , Patrick of Chicago, Jake of Merrill, Luke of Wausau, Sarah of Merrill, Caitlyn of IL, Steve (Margaret) of Bryant, Jessie of Antigo, Elizabeth (Dean) DeBroux of GA, Charlie of Antigo, Rian Hyland of Hustisford, Kai Hyland of Camp Pendleton, CA, Auburn Janas of TX, 27 great grandchildren, 2 sisters, Irene Frisch, Mary Jane Fleischman, and 5 brothers, George (Carol), Bernard, Joe (Georgiann), David (Jean) and Andy (Phyllis). Mrs. Rose was preceded in death by 4 children, Sr. Joyce, Joseph, Mary, and Dorothy, and 2 sisters Florence Skarlupka and Virginia Laycock. Funeral services will be on Monday at 1:00 pm at Strasser-Roller Funeral Home. Visitation will be on Monday at the funeral home from 11:00 am until the service. Interment will be in Queen of Peace Cemetery.
