Douglas Richard Zahurones

Douglas Richard Zahurones died May 31, 2022 at the age of 64 under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care Hospice. He was also lovingly cared for by his wife, Brenda and his family. Douglas was born on October 22, 1957 to the late Frank and Rita (Lenkus) Zahurones in Illinois. He married Brenda Hedrick on July 2, 1986. Douglas graduated from Antigo High School. He then served in the US Army. He worked as a forklift operator, most recently for Timber Creek. He enjoyed camping, watching the Chicago Bears and Milwaukee Brewers, spending time with family and friends, and enjoying life. In addition to his wife Brenda, survivors include his children: Steven Zahurones (Kailey) of North Carolina, Brian Zahurones (Jenna Wierschke) of Antigo and Dana Habeck (Mike) of Appleton. Douglas is also survived by his sister Theresa Zahurones of Antigo, and brothers: Frank (Gina) Zahurones of Antigo, Russ Zahurones of Antigo, his dear cousin Jim (Terry) Zahurones, grandchildren: Nirvana Zahurones, Jalen Habeck, Blaise Habeck, and a grandson to be born in August, as well as other relatives and friends. A celebration of Douglas's life will be held in July.
