Dr. Harry Joseph Kassis

Dr. Harry Joseph Kassis, age 89, died at his home on Friday. Dr. Kassis was born January 8, 1925 in Williston, North Dakota to the late Eli Joseph and Elizabeth (Zinnie) Kassis. He was united in marriage to Natalie Marie Marasco. She preceded him in death on February 8, 1992. Dr. Kassis practiced in Antigo at Langlade Memorial Hospital as a pathologist. He also practiced in Des Moines, IA. He also served in the US Army Air Corps. Survivors include 3 sons, Timothy (Rebecca) of Antigo, Rev. Fr. Daniel Francis of Chicago and New Mexico, and Mark Tracy ( partner Terry Lowman) of Ames, IA and South Beach, FL, 5 grandchildren, Elizabeth (Dan) Steinberg of Evergreen, CO, Daniel (fiancé Lindsay Secard) of Fitchburg, WI, Shelly Kassis of Lakeville,MN, Julian and Anthony Kassis of Ames, IA, 3 great grandchildren Ana Kassis, Tatum and Sydney Steinberg; 3 sisters, Jeanine (John) Snook , Carol (Buzz) Minow, Gloria (Kermit) Falkenstein all of Sacramento, CA, 2 brothers;,Bill (Gail) Kassis and Phillip (Fran) Kassis of Sacramento, and a sister-in-law, Mary Kassis also of Sacremento. In addition to his wife and parents, Dr. Kassis was preceded in death by a brother Donald, a sister Dorothy McDonald, a grandson, Paul Kassis, and 2 brother-in-laws, Frank Margetich and Vince McDonald. Services will be held at a later date at St. Ignatius Catholic Church in Sacramento, CA. Inurnment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Sacramento, CA. Strasser-Roller Funeral Home is serving the family.
