Dr. Norman H. Meyer, of Antigo, died Sun. Dec. 19, 2010 at Eastview Medical and Rehabilitation under the care of LeRoyer Hospice. He was 85 years old.He was born Feb. 14, 1925 in Fond du Lac, son of the late Walter and Hertha (Wegener) Meyer. He married Bette Carol (Rogers) on Feb. 14, 1963. She survives and resides in Antigo.He attended Cedarburg High School and Palmer College of Chiropractic. He attained the rank of Lieutenant Junior Grade in the US Navy, serving in the Philippines, Guam, and Okinawa.A doctor of chiropractic, he previously resided in Cedarburg, Phelps, and Crandon. He led the state chiropractic association as president of the organization.Dr. Meyer was 50 year member of the Lions Club, serving as president of 3 different local clubs. He belonged to Faith Lutheran Church in Cedarburg, and held leadership positions in the church.Survivors, in addition to his wife Carol, include 2 sons, Dr. Tom (Maureen) Meyer of Madison, and Dr. Tim (Phyllis) Meyer of Spokane, WA; 3 step-sons, Tim (Susan) Brockman of Arlington, VA, Walter (Patti) Brockman of Lily, and Don Brockman of Denton, TX; a sister, Dorothea von Trott; and 8 grandchildren, Kayla (Chris) Thompson, Ben Meyer, Megan Meyer, Nathan Meyer, Gabriel Brockman, Kate Brockman, Casey Jefferson, and Zoe Rose Brockman.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Ted.In accordance with his wishes, no services will be held.
