Edelgard Hess

Edelgard "Ellie" Hess passed away Thurs. Feb. 3, 2011 in Antigo. She was born Dec. 26, 1945 in Germany. She came to the United States when she was 6, and resided in Kenosha, WI until 1983. She moved to Antigo and married Jesse E. Hess, who survives, on Dec. 23, 1983.Other survivors include a son, Steven Van Boven of Rifle, CO; a daughter, Lisa (Wayne) Fleischman of Antigo; 3 grandchildren, Amanda Van Boven, Marshall Broeske, and Justin Broeske, all of Antigo; a sister in law, Charlotte Hatfield of Deerbrook; and others.She was preceded in death by her parents, her childrens' dad, and a brother. She loved bicycling, word searches, her grandchildren, laughing with family and friends, and "watching the world go by," she would say. No services will be held per her request. She will remain forever in our hearts.
