Edith Anderson

Edith "Edie" J. Anderson, age 80, died July 30th at her home under the care of LeRoyer Hospice and her family. She was born January 13, 1929 in Berlin, Germany.On October 4, 1956 she married John Anderson in Munich, Germany. He preceded her in death on January 12, 2002.Mrs. Anderson was a homemaker and a cook at an Ashland Nursing Home.While her husband served in the US Army the family lived in various cities and states, KY, GA and NC. When John retired in 1972 they resided in Ashland; after his death she moved to Antigo in 2002 to be near her daughter.In 1963 while living in Paducah, KY, Edith became a citizen of the United States. She was very patriotic and was proud to display the American flag and its colors in and around her home.She was a member of Saron Lutheran Church in Ashland.Mrs. Anderson was a sports fan enjoying tennis, golf and football.She is survived by a daughter, Terrie Anderson, Antigo, grandson, Michael (Meghan) Anderson and great granddaughter, Madison.Funeral services will be Wednesday August 5th in Ashland, WI at Saron Lutheran Church at 1:00 p.m. Visitation will be at 12:00 p.m. prior to the service. Pastor Paul Simmons will officiate.
