Eleanor Marie Spinler, 82, passed away Tuesday July 30, 2013 at her residence in Antigo under the care of LeRoyer Hospice. She was born Feb. 7, 1931 in North Brookfield, NY to the late Lyle and Gladys (Bugsby) Curtis. She married Joseph F. Spinler March 12, 1949 in Rome, NY. She lived in Salem, WI most of her life where she raised her 10 children, while working at Intermatic and then Charmglow. She retired later to Antigo. She enjoyed listening to gospel music, traveling the U.S. with her husband in their motorhome, and playing bingo. She is survived by her husband Joseph F. Spinler of Antigo; 10 children Joseph F. Jr. (Patricia) of Spencer, WI, Gary (Barbara) of Belen, NM, Judy (David) Terlecki of Salem, WI, Linda (Bill) Solomon of Winthrop Harbor, IL, Erwin (Cheri) of Paddock Lake, WI, Bryon (Susan) of Paddock Lake, WI, Brenda Caldwell (Kevin Mooney) of Paddock Lake, WI, Richard (Maggie) of Mayville, WI, Mary (Ken) Jorgensen of Weston ,WI, Sherry (Richard) Clendenen of Wausau, WI; 44 grandchildren; 53 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; and a brother Joseph "Corky" (Sue) Curtis of Cedar Grove, NC. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lyle and Gladys Curtis; step-mother Francis Curtis; 3 brothers, Howard Curtis, James Curtis, Lyle Curtis Jr.; granddaughter Faith Kuzelka; grandson Scott Spinler; son in law James Caldwell; and mother and father in law, Frank and Lara Spinler. Services will take place at 12:30 p.m. Saturday at Strasser-Roller Funeral Home with Pastor Brad Anderson officiating. Visitation will be 4:00-7:00 Friday and 10:30-12:30 Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service at Elmwood Cemetery. The family extends a special thank you to LeRoyer Hospice for their loving care.
