Elliot Jay "Katie Mae" Veard

Elliot Jay “Katie Mae” Veard, passed from this life to the next at the home of their father, on June 11th, 2023, as the result of their epilepsy. EJ was born November 24th, 1998 in Oshkosh to Paula S. (Jeffrey) Veard and John Veard.

EJ attended Fox Valley Technical College, earning Dean’s List recognition many times. Elliott was employed as a Behavioral Therapy Technician at WEAP and Childcare provider at Chiemsee Castle Daycare and also at First Congregational Church.

EJ had a fun-loving spirit and was a lover of babies, Disney, Mario video games, Funko Pops, writing, playing games, Sponge Bob, cute videos (especially babies laughing), and their family and friends.

In addition to their parents, EJ is survived by their sister Claire Veard, stepsisters Allie and Lauren Neuendorf, stepmother Karin Markee, and grandmother, Suzette (Forbes) Jeffrey, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

EJ was preceded in death by their maternal grandfather, Thomas E. Jeffrey, paternal grandmother, Dorothy M. Veard, paternal grandfather, Ronald L. Veard.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 22nd at noon at First Congregational Church, 137 Algoma Blvd, Oshkosh. Reverend Nancy Taylor will officiate. Visitation will be from 10am-noon, with lunch to follow service.

In lieu of flowers, family is asking donations be given to WEAP (Wisconsin Early Autism Project), First Congregational Church Oshkosh, or Chiemsee Castle Daycare Oshkosh.

Family has asked that attire be casual, Crocks and mismatched socks, Disney, Mario, rainbows, Sponge Bob, all appropriate to honor precious EJ.
