Emily Ann Essert, age 5, died Sunday at St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield. Emily was born July 23, 2007 a daughter to Marcy A. Walton and Robert J. Essert. Emily was a kindergartener at Crestwood Elementary. She was a girl through and through, however, she had a rough and tumble side that could keep up with the boys. Emily loved to play dress up and dance and was crazy about all things sparkly and pink. She loved to don her fairy wings and Tinkerbell was one of her favorite characters. She loved shopping with the girls and hunting in the woods with her dad. In addition to her parents, Emily is survived by her maternal grandparents William and Sally Walton of Polar and her Paternal grandparents, Walter and Gale Campbell of Antigo, 2 brothers, Andrew K. Ficsher and Alex W. Fischer, a sister Amanda Campbell, maternal uncle, Dan Walton, paternal aunts and uncles, Vicky Campbell, Walter (Kathleen) Campbell, Jr., Greg Campbell, David Campbell, Laura (Todd) Rochester, Matt Campbell, Mike (Jenny) Campbell, and Pat (Amanda) Campbell and her special friend Jesse. She was preceded in death by maternal great grandparents Helen and Albert Biemborn and Edna Tenant, paternal great grandparents, Robert and Mary Knight and a cousin, Amanda. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 12:30PM at St. John's Lutheran Church in Polar. Reverend John Czarnota will officiate. Visitation will be on Wednesday at the church from 10:30 until the time of service at the church. Interment will be in St. John's Church Cemetery in Polar. "Emily, you were our beautiful gift, our own special sparkle…you will shine for us forever in our hearts." A memorial will be established in Emily's name.
