Erna Allen

Erna Allen, former White Lake resident, died Jan. 2, 2012 at Lakeview Heights in Wausau under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice. She was 92 years old. She was born April 3, 1919 in White Lake, daughter of the late Frank and Anna (Soyk) Schiefelbein. She married Franklyn Allen on Jan. 20, 1940 in White Lake. Mr. Allen preceded her in death in 2000. She was a homemaker, and also worked at Robbins Flooring in White Lake. Mrs. Allen was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church, and was active in the Ladies Aid organization. She will be remembered for her devotion to her husband and family. She enjoyed her rose gardens and gladiolas. Mrs. Allen is survived by 2 daughters, Susie (Keith) Heckert of Wausau, Ruth (Dave) Firnett of Wallace MI; 2 sons, Frank (Harriet) Allen of Dillon, MT and Bill (Louise) Allen of Cambridge, MA; 12 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren, and a sister, Irene (Tom) Fink of Oregon. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Allen was preceded in death by 2 daughters, Elaine Ramer and June Klement, 5 brothers and 4 sisters. Funeral services will be on Saturday, January 7, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Matthew Lutheran Church in White Lake. Visitation will be Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the service at the church. Reverend Steven Vaudt will officiate. Interment will be in Langlade Cemetery. A memorial is established in Mrs. Allen's name for St. Matthew Lutheran Church of White Lake.
