Ervin (Butch) Prasalowicz of Antigo died Jan. 26, 2012 at home. He was 83 years old. He was born May 12, 1928 in Ackley, a son of the late Jacob and Mary (Banczak) Prasalowicz. He served in the US Army for 2 years, including a year in Korea. On Aug. 27, 1949, he married Sally Ann Steber at St. Mary Catholic Church in Antigo. He was employed at Frost Veneer Mill, Baginski Farms, Vulcan Corp., Nick's Tap, and Farmer's Home. He managed and played baseball for the Ackley baseball team and loved to play bingo and cribbage with his winning partner, Dave Baginski. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Sally Prasalowicz. In addition, he is survived by 7 children, Jane (Chuck) Schroepfer of Colorado, Julie (Chuck) Turney of Antigo, Mike Prasalowicz of Antigo, Joan (David) Allgaier of Antigo, Janice (Earl) Merrill of Antigo, Joyce Prasalowicz (special friend Jeff Monk) of Antigo, and Jill (David) Tull of Florida; 3 sisters, Theresa (Bob) Barske, Sister Joyce Prasalowicz, and Janet Heckert; 13 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers, Edward and infant Joseph; and 4 sisters, Margaret Galarowicz, Josephine Eckardt, Luella Prasalowicz, and Dorothy Prasalowicz. A gathering to honor his life will take place from 1-3 p.m. Saturday at the Farmer's Home.
