Esther Bloedorn

Esther Bloedorn, of Antigo, died Thurs. Dec. 3, 2009 at Eastview Medical and Rehabilitation. She was 98 years old.She was born May 8, 1911 in North Dakota, daughter of the late Charlie and Mary (Farmer) Fitch. She moved to the Antigo area as a girl, and resided here throughout her life. She married Wallace Bloedorn, and he preceded her in death on May 10, 1947.Mrs. Bloedorn was employed at Vulcan, cleaning houses, Harper's, and Riverview. After retirement, she continued to work at Blackjack until she was 85.Everyone loved to be around Esther. She enjoyed walking, riding her bike, her bird, bowling, and polka dancing. She loved to travel the world.She was a member of Antigo United Methodist Church.Survivors include a daughter, Patricia (Keith) Zelazoski of Antigo; a son, Donald (Carol) Bloedorn of Post Lake and Dunnellon, FL; a sister-in-law, Gertrude Fitch of La Crosse; 7 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
