Evelyn Galarowicz

Evelyn Galarowicz, age 84, of Antigo, died Thursday at Kindred Transitional Care and Rehabilitation – Eastview. She was born on March 25, 1928 in Elton,WI to the late Raleigh and Loretta (Lewis) McGuire. She married Floyd A. Galarowicz, Sr. on June 1, 1968 in Antigo. He preceded her in death on June 20, 2010. Mrs. Galarowicz was employed at Kindred Transitional Care and Rehabilitation-Eastview for 25 years as a certified nursing assistant. She also worked at Tesch's Supper Club for many years and was a wonderful homemaker. She enjoyed shopping, working, and decorating her home inside and outside for Christmas. She loved life and her family. Survivors include 4 daughters, Diane (Roger) Wagnes of Antigo, Barb Wick of Montana, Kathy (Jerry) Carter of Antigo and Sharon (Gary) Krugel of Antigo; 2 sons, Jerry (Shirley Wick) Bula of Antigo and Dennis (Debbie) Bula of Antigo; 2 stepsons, Jerry (Ora) Galarowicz, and Jim (Judy) Galarowicz; 21 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild; a sister Clara Olson of Antigo; and a brother Bill (Mildred "Millie") McGuire of Spokane, WA. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Galarowicz was preceded in death by 3 sisters, Margaret, Josephine, and Esther, 2 brothers Lyle and Henry and 1 great grandchild, baby Phillip Petro. Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Monday at Strasser-Roller Funeral Home. Father Omer Kelley will officiate. Visitation will be from 11-1 on Monday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
