The angels came for mother on Wednesday July 11, 2012 at Rosalia Gardens in Antigo. She was under the care of LeRoyer Hospice and her wonderful caregivers from Rosalia Gardens and Pine Meadow. She was born March 21, 1918, daughter of the late Anton and Helen (Urban) Peroutka. She graduated from Antigo High School in 1936 and continued her education at beauty school. She married Fred David on Feb. 14, 1942 and he preceded her in death on May 14, 1989. Survivors include 3 children, Beverly Maly, Rudolph David, and Nancy (Hermon) Stainbrook; a brother, Rudolph (Verg) Peroutka; 9 grandchildren, Annette (Thomas) Marciniak, Michael (Jan) Maly, David Stainbrook, Jason David (special friend Becky), Tammi (Brian) McGowan, Joel (Veronica) David, Janyne (Will) Silvers, Julianne (John) Menefee, James (Megan) David; 16 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters-in-law, Lola Peroutka, and Vi Koudelka; and a daughter-in-law, Jean David. In addition to her parents and husband, Florence was preceded in death by a son, James David; a brother, Daniel Peroutka; in-laws, Ed and Georgian Ourada, and George Koudelka; and a son-in-law Ben Maly. A funeral service will take place at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Strasser-Roller Funeral Home, with Rev. Marvin Kindle officiating. Visitation will be 10:30-11:30 Saturday at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service at Bohemian Cemetery in Antigo.
