Frances B. Guth

Frances B. Guth of Pelican Lake died Jan. 14 at Langlade Hospital in Antigo under the care of LeRoyer Hospice. She was 80 years old. She was born Sept. 15, 1928 in Milwaukee, the daughter of the late Joseph Pyka and Agnes Resel. She married Herbert Guth, and he preceded her in death.Mrs. Guth owned and operated Guth's Lakeview Inn in Pelican Lake with her husband Herbert for many years. In Pelican Lake, she was known as "Grandma Frank." She enjoyed travelling, and crossword and picture puzzles.Survivors include 3 daughters, Josephine Feight of Pelican Lake, Nancy (Kenneth) Smith of Rhinelander, and Julie Zelinski of Pelican Lake; 4 sons, David (Terri) of Bass Lake, Mark of Pelican Lake, Chris (Martha) of TX, and Conrad (Andrea) of Pelican Lake; 1 brother, Ernest (Dorothy) Pyka of Menomonee Falls; 2 sisters in law, Sally Pyka, and dear friend Karen Guth of Crandon; 10 grandchildren, Tracy, Shari Jo, Bambi, Jessica, Jennifer, Ryan, Molly, Brandon, Alex, Kristy; 4 great grandchildren, Tyler, Derek, Kenny, and Mia; special goddaughter Lydia Ann Black; dear nephew Ronnie (Sue) Zambriski of Oak Creek; and many additional nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by a son Jon; 3 sisters, Elizabeth, Irene, Patronel; a brother Ralph; son in law, Ernie Feight; and granddaughter Kristy Wanty.
