Frank J. Derenne

Frank Derenne, 93, of Antigo died Thursday at Eastview Medical and Rehabilitation Center.Mr. Derenne was born August 23, 1915 in the Town of Red River, Wisconsin to the late Frank and Octavia (Bertrand) Derenne.Frank graduated from Luxemberg High School in 1933. He operated the family dairy farm in Duvall, WI. In 1937 he was united in marriage to Albina Dubois, she preceded him in death in 1972. Mr. Derenne served in the US Army in WWII form May 1943 until December 1944, participating in campaigns in Normandy, Northern France, Ardennes, Rhineland, and Central Europe. After service he settled in Menomonee Falls where he worked as a mechanic. Frank married Rosemary Gilhardt Weber in Menomonee Falls, WI in 1973. She survives. They remained in Menomonee Falls until 1974 and then moved to Elcho. They moved to Antigo in 1984. Mr. Derenne was a member of SS. Mary & Hyacinth Catholic Church. In addition to his wife Rosemary Derenne of Antigo, he is survived by a daughter, Laureen (Jack) Hawley of Montana, a son Lawrence Derenne of Suffolk, WV; and Rosemary's children Carla (James) Schneider of Lawton, OK, Denise (Keith) Schmidt of Antigo, Ronald (Belinda) Weber and Danny (Kerry) Weber of Antigo; 12 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren, a brother Theophile (Madeline) Derenne of Dykesville, WI.
