Frank Kratky

Frank Kratky, Post Lake, died Friday, Aug. 1, 2014 at his residence. He was 97 years old. He was born March 31, 1917 in Chicago, IL, son of the late Frank and Helen (Kohler) Kratky. He married Marcella C. Zmrhal on June 12, 1939 in Chicago. She preceded Mr. Kratky in death in 2005. He obtained his bachelor's and master's degree at Northwestern University, and was employed as a musician and music educator. He was a resident of River Forest, IL, until retiring and moving to Post Lake. He is survived by his children, Frank (Patti) Kratky of Moorhead, MN, and Marcia Kratky of Post Lake. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Stephen Kratky. Private family services will be held at a later date.
