Gerald Billy Cline died Thursday, March 28, 2019 in Birnamwood with family by his side. He was under the care of Autumn Lane Family Care and Ascension Ministry Hospice. He was 78 years old. He was born April 20, 1940 in Langlade County, the son of the late Arlie and Opal (Maddix) Cline. He married Sue Ellen Quigley and they later divorced. Gerald had been employed as a lineman for Chicago Northwestern and Soo Line railroads and was a long time resident of the Elton and White Lake areas. He was interested in blacksmithing and enjoyed watching Westerns on TV, welding, hunting and tinkering with cars. Survivors include 4 daughters, Lauri (Kent) Graves of Kronenwetter, Dorla (Carl) Van Setters of Weston, Ruth (Ken) Weisenberger of Kronenwetter and Shelly (Dan) Pranke of Wittenberg; 8 grandsons, Derek Cline, Zachary Mabry, Skyler Van Setters, Chance Van Setters, Benjamin Van Setters, Jacob Olson, Evan Van Setters and Carter Van Setters; 3 sisters, Viola Arrowood, Loretta (Bill) Coleman, Phyllis (Phil) Arrowood; and a brother, Ronnie (Carol) Cline. The family would like to extend a huge thank you to the staff at Autumn Lane and Ascension Hospice for their excellent and compassionate care. Memorials in Gerald's name may be directed to the family. A private family celebration of life will take place at a later date.
