Gerald "Jerry" J. Wendt

Gerald "Jerry" J. Wendt, age 70, died at Aspirus Wausau Hospital on Sunday, April 28, 2013. He was born December 30, 1942, son of the late Oscar and Margaret (Guenthner) Wendt. A 1960 graduate of Antigo High School, he was a lifelong Antigo resident until a recent move to Merrill. He worked as a potato broker. He was a self-taught computer technician, and he enjoyed the work of rebuilding computers. He kept his family supplied with the computers he worked on. Survivors include a sister, Deloris (Howard) Mollen of Antigo; a brother, Thomas (Marie) Wendt of Antigo; 2 nieces, Brenda (Jerry) Springer, and Tanya Mollen; 3 nephews, David Wendt, Robert Wendt, and Mark Strobel; great-nieces; and great-nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Douglas Wendt, and a nephew, Kirk Strobel. A gathering will take place from 10-noon Thursday at Strasser-Roller Funeral Home. Burial will take place at Elmwood Cemetery following the gathering.
