Geraldine "Gerry" A. Stanke, of Antigo, died Wed., Dec. 30 at Langlade Hospital. She was 74 years old.She was born Dec. 20, 1935 in Columbus, WI, daughter of the late Orville and Erna (Pautsch) Deppe. She married Miles Stanke on Feb. 26, 1955 in Waterloo, WI, and he survives.She graduated from Waterloo High School in 1954, and lived in Columbus, GA, Whitewater, Sheboygan, and Bass Lake before moving to Antigo in 1962.Mrs. Stanke was a homemaker. She was also employed at Schafner Interiors and worked as a dog groomer at the Bow Wow Barbershop. She was a member of the United Methodist Church. She loved her springer spaniels, gardening, quilting, sewing and cookbooks. She especially loved having her family around her.Survivors, in addition to her husband, include a daughter, Kelly (Tom) McAuly of Mattoon; 3 sons, Tim (Debbie) of Lakeland, MN, Pat of Livingston, MT, and Kris (Kathy) of Antigo; a sister, Beverly Frazier of Coloma, WI; 13 grandchildren, Ben, Allison, Eric, Jessica, Elizabeth, Molly, Kayla, Sally, Riley, Brianna, and Braden Stanke, and Kelsey and Kaitlyn McAuly; 2 nephews, Mike and Mitch Frazier; and her dog, Cookie.Her parents and a son, Ed, preceded her in death.
