Geraldine Herman

Geraldine Dora Herman, age 85, of the town of Polar, died at the home of her granddaughter, Amber in Manitowoc on Friday, April 22, 2022. Geri was born December 28, 1936 in Antigo to the late Ernest and Marcella (Wissbroecker) Bolen of Polar. She was a graduate of Antigo High School class of 1954. On December 28, 1974, Geri was united in marriage to Clarence ‘Tiny’ Herman in Sheboygan. Geri worked at various businesses in food service, working in local bakeries, delis, and restaurants in Sheboygan and Antigo. She was dedicated to her family and was a wonderful homemaker. She loved to garden, bake, do crafts, entertain guests and spend time with her grandchildren. She is survived by 3 children; Cindy Goetsch (Doug W.) of Sheboygan, LeAnne (Al) Holden of Waupun, Jim (Jodi) Hessil of Trego and a brother Richard “Dick” (Judy) Bolen of Polar. She has 9 grandchildren that include Cory, Shawn, Cory, Alex, Amber, Cassie, Steve, Stacy and Jack and 7 great grandchildren; Brandon, Bryden, Crystal, Anakin, Gabriel, Chase and Callie. In addition to her husband and parents, Geri was preceded in death by 2 brothers: Jack and Glen Bolen. A funeral service will be held on Thursday at 5:00pm at Strasser-Roller Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 3:00 until 5:00pm on Thursday at the funeral home.
