Gloria Kautza, of Kempster, died Thurs., Feb. 5 at home under the care of her family and LeRoyer Hospice. She was 63 years old. She was born in Antigo, Sept. 13, 1945, the daughter of George and Jean (Wetzel) Grossman. She was a 1963 graduate of Elcho High School, and previously lived in Omro and Redgranite before returning to the area. She attended business school in Green Bay, and earned her teaching degree at UW Stevens Point. Ms. Kautza was employed as a third grade teacher in Omro. She later worked at Sherm's Piggly Wiggly, and as a pharmacy technician at the Omro Pharmacy.She was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Deerbrook. Her interests included visiting family and friends, traveling, attending musicals and concerts, reading, learning, and walking.In addition to her parents, residing in Kempster, survivors include a stepdaughter, Joyel Barnard of Wautoma; a stepson, Bart (Kim) Kautza of Omro; a sister, Fran (Elroy) Kleman of Hatley; a brother Bruce (Wilma) Grossman of Redgranite; 5 step-grandchildren, Nathan Barnard, Katie Barnard, Bryce Barnard, Libby Kautza, and Jake Kautza; nieces and nephews.
