Gregory "Greg" D. Keen, age 59, of Aniwa died unexpectedly May 25 at St. Clare's Hospital in Wausau.Mr. Keen was born January 8, 1952 in Antigo, a son of the late Dale and Arlene (Wildman) Keen.He married Ruby Paff in Aniwa on April 16, 1977 at St. Boniface Catholic Church. She survives.Mr. Keen was a lifelong resident of the area and he graduated from Antigo High School. He was a heavy equipment operator for Meverden Trucking and Merverden Materials.He was known as "Mr. Fixit" as he could fix just about anything and was always willing to help others with projects. He enjoyed sawing lumber with his son, Scott and helping Laura and Jesse with a family business. Mr. Keen liked auctions and Craig's List on the Internet also playing cards, checkers and eating ice cream with the grandchildren. He enjoyed teasing those he loved, especially Ruby and the grandchildren.Mr. Keen is survived by his wife of 34 years, a daughter, Laura (Jesse) Arndt, Antigo; a son, Scott Keen, Aniwa; grandchildren, Courtney and Robert; sisters, Phyllis (John) Carlson, Birnamwood, Patsy (Tim) Geiger, Antigo, Judy (Don) Schroepfer, Antigo, Mary (special friend, Jerry) Keen of Wausau; brothers, Jerome (Jane) Keen, Aniwa, Larry (Julie) Keen, Aniwa, Bill (Cheryl) Keen, Antigo, Burt Keen, Wausau; and many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his canine companion, Gus.In addition to his parents his brother, Joe Keen and nephew, Johnny Carlson, brother-in-law, Richard Paff and niece, Tammy Matz preceded him in death.Funeral services will be Saturday, May 28, at 11:30 a.m. at the Strasser-Roller Funeral Home. Reverend Charles Hoffmann will officiate.Visitation will be prior to the service from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home.Thank you to Birnamwood EMS and his friends and co-workers for their response and care.
