He was very witty and sentimental yet stubborn, a stickler to everything being on time. ‘That’s Herman!’ He enjoyed road trips to The Grand ‘Ol Opry and out west visiting family and friends on his route. In recent years, his passenger(s) were treated to local road trips filled with family history, geology and geography lessons.
