Herman Ray "Wallen" Walentowski

November 13, 1913 — May 6, 2009

Herman Ray "Wallen" Walentowski, of Antigo, died Wed. May 6, at Eastview Medical and Rehabilitation. He was 95 years old. He was born Nov. 13, 1913 in Pelican Lake, son of the late Frank and Stella (Krzoska) Walentowski. He married Eleanore Dorsch, and she preceded him in death in 1995. Mr. Walentowski was a former baseball player. He pitched for the 1934 Milwaukee Brewers of the American Association, and was inducted into the Old Time Ball Players' Association of Wisconsin Hall of Fame. Mr. Walentowski was employed as a welder at American Motors Corporation in Milwaukee. Survivors include a son Bruce (Sheryll) Wallen of Waterford; 2 grandchildren; special cousins Leona Palubicki of Cudahy, David (Dawn) Palubicki of Pelican Lake, and Christine (Mike) Tate of Oak Creek; and a special friend, Virginia Lange of Antigo. In accordance with his wishes, there will be no services.
