Horst "Tony" Bierdemann

Horst “Tony” Bierdemann, age 84, of Deerbrook, WI passed away at his home on Friday, February 6, 2026 under the care of his family and LeRoyer Hospice.

Tony was born on January 20, 1942 in Uffing, Germany to the late Wilhelm and Isabella (Engel) Bierdemann.

He was united in marriage to Frederika Seubert on Oct 2, 1998.

At the age of 5, Tony and his mother moved to France, as his father was a prisoner of war. He later returned to Germany and then moved to the United States on December 8, 1958.

Tony served in the US Army, including 13 months of service in Vietnam.

He lived in Waukesha, working for Waukesha Bearing. This brought him to Antigo in May of 1972, where he continued his career with them, an employment of 51 years.

Tony was an active member of Upper Room Family Church in Elcho and served as their head usher.

Tony loved football, gambling, traveling with his wife, and goofing around with his grandchildren. He loved his hobbies which were many, including creating birdhouses and metal art.

He is survived by the love of his life, his wife Frederika, his daughters: Penny Jess, Pam Riox, Paula Hart, stepchildren: Phillip (Bunny) Monino, Maria Stanbery, Patricia (Eric) Thomas, Michelle Briggs, Daniel Monino, and John (Dena) Monino. Tony was a loving Opa to 30 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. He is also survived by a beloved niece Carol Bryant and her family, his aunt Erika Zblewski and her family, two brothers: Bernhard and Dieter. Tony is also lovingly remembered by members of Frederika’s family.

In addition to his parents, Tony was preceded in death by two brothers: Wilhelm and Edward, two sons-in-law and beloved members of Frederika’s family in Germany.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, February 20, 2026 at 2:00 PM at Upper Room Family Church in Elcho. Reverend Shane Wheeler will officiate. Visitation will be from 12:00 PM until the service at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Tony’s name may be directed to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.

The family of Tony wishes to extend their deepest gratitude to Aspirus Rhinelander ICU staff, LeRoyer Hospice, Hands with Hearts, Strasser-Roller Funeral Home, his best friends Peter and Elsie Schulze, Wayne and Judy Baum, and all of his dear friends. The comfort, care and support each have you have provided has been a blessing.
