Iva Northup

Iva Northup, of Pickerel, died at Eastview in Antigo under the care of LeRoyer Hospice. She was 81 years old. She was born November 17, 1936 in Clark County, WI, daughter of the late Robert and Velmer (Linton) Volz. She married Rodger Northup on Aug. 4, 1956 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Neillsville, and he survives. Mrs. Northup graduated from Neillsville High School in 1954. She was a homemaker, and resided with her family in Mundelein, IL before retirement to Pickerel. She enjoyed fishing, playing cribbage, and gardening. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Pickerel. Survivors, in addition to her husband, include her daughter, Laurie (Dan) Jeffers of Gages Lake, IL; son, David Northup of Sheboygan; granddaughter, Jessica; and 2 brothers, Wilbur (Katie) Volz of California, and Willis (Jeannie) Volz of Neillsville. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 3 sisters, Marcella Adams, Florence Kopp, and Deloris Rosenthal; and 5 brothers, George, Gerald, Lester, Harry, and Raymond Volz. A funeral service will take place at 12:00 noon on Wednesday, April 25 at St. John Lutheran Church in Pickerel, with Rev. Donald Engebretson officiating. Visitation will be 10:00-12:00 Wednesday at the church. Interment will take place at Pearson Cemetery.
