James D. Clark, age 69, of Antigo died Monday, October 30, 2017 at his home under the care of his family and LeRoyer Hospice. James was born in Green Bay on August 4, 1948 to the Mercedes (Maloney) Pelky and the late Bernard Clark. On December 2, 1972, James was united in marriage to Sally Marie Brault in Manitowoc County. She survives and resides in Antigo. James was raised in Townsend and graduated from Wabeno High School. He was employed by Waukesha Bearings for many years and most recently was employed for 15 years at Walmart prior to retiring in 2010. James enjoyed the outdoors. He especially enjoyed picking blackberries. He was a lover of music, animals, and Saturday night bonfires. Above all his granddaughters and family were his greatest loves. Survivors in addition to his wife, Sally, include his mother and father, Mercedes and Lloyd Pelky of Townsend, a son Michael (Stacy) Clark of Antigo, 2 granddaughters, Alexis Clark of Antigo and Alyssa (Corey) Resch of Wausau, 4 sisters, Mary (George) Garcia of Antigo, Pat (Paul ) Schoenberger of Manitowoc, Karen Kubeny of Antigo, JoAnn (Jeff "Turtle" ) Leidke of Antigo, 3 brothers, Bob (Pat) Clark of Manitowoc, Dan (Susan) Clark of Townsend, Tim (Mary) Clark of Gillet, a sister-in-law Carol (William) Harder of Manitowoc, 2 special friends, Gary Bellomy and Alan Dobbs, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his father Bernard, James was preceded in death by a brother, Wayne Clark. James lived by the 5 foot rule, he always acknowledged anyone within 5 feet with a greeting and smile, in hopes to brighten their day. A visitation will be held on Monday, November 6 from 1:00 PM until 4:00 PM at Strasser-Roller Funeral Home.
