James "Jim" J. Francl, Sr., farmer and lifelong resident of the Antigo area, died Thurs. Nov. 17 at Eastview Medical and Rehabilitation. He was 92 years old. He was born Aug. 20, 1919, at the family home in the town of Ackley. His parents were the late Bendrick and Tina (Kubalek) Francl. He married Louise D. Brandt on Feb. 19, 1949, and she survives. In addition to dairy farming and growing corn, oats, hay, and potatoes, Mr. Francl drove a livestock truck for Antigo Livestock shipping. He was a member of ZCBJ Lodge. Survivors, in addition to his wife, include a daughter, Cheryl (Glenn) Wrobleski of Waterford; 3 sons, James (Barbara) Francl of Antigo, Paul Francl of Antigo, and Randy Francl (Susan Gray) of Golden, CO; 7 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Donald; 2 sisters, Beatrice Rada and Lillian Losser; and 2 great-grandchildren. Private family services will be held, with burial in Elmwood Cemetery.
