Jane Hollquist

Jane Hollquist, age 95 of Pickerel, passed away on September 29, 2026 at Aspirus Langlade Hospital.

Jane was born on March 29, 1931 in Neenah, the daughter of Ted and Clara Aldinger. She graduated from Neenah High School in 1949. She married John Larson in 1950. They moved to Pickerel in 1965. They later divorced. She married Carl Hollquist in 1990. He preceded her in death in 2017.

She was an active member of Arbutus Lutheran Church where she served on the church counsel, sang in the choir, was a member of the bell choir, and the altar guild. She also assisted with funeral dinners.

She owned J & J General Store in Pickerel and also worked for Vern’s. Jane treasured her friendships. Her family was especially grateful for her friendship with Sandy Parks and all Sandy did for Jane. She enjoyed bowling, quilting, sewing, and all the wildlife at home. Most of all she loved visits from her family and seeing her grandchildren.

Jane is survived by her sons Lee (Kathy Groshek) Larson of Amherst, WI and Gary (Luella) Larson of Pickerel, daughter Lynn (Mike) Kulas of Mesa, AZ, grandchildren Travis (Kylie) Larson of Plover, Coleen Kuenzli of Marinette, Laura (Anton) Leonov of Mesa, AZ, Jamie Gill (Jason) of Jacksonville, FL, Dollie Larson of Valdosta, GA, great grandchildren Bryce, Brody, Levi, Sebastian, Olivia, Caleb, Logan, Darian, Marlo.

In addition to her parents, Jane was preceded in death by a son Jerry Larson and daughter-in-law Judy Larson, husbands Robert Doine and Carl Hollquist, her husband of 27 happy years.

A visitation for Jane will be held on Saturday, October 3, 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Arbutus Lutheran Church in Pickerel. A memorial service will follow at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow the service at Arbutus Lutheran Cemetery.
