Jane L. Rose, age 74, of White Lake, passed away Friday, October 21, 2022, at University Hospital in Madison. She was born January 21, 1948, in Antigo, to the late Marvin and Florence (Ehrhardt) Siebert.
She graduated from White Lake High School in 1966. Later that year, on September 24, 1966, she married the love of her life, James (Jim) Rose. They recently celebrated 56 years of marriage. She and Jim raised three sons in White Lake.
Jane attended Northcentral Technical College, Wausau, for Medical Transcription and worked at Langlade Memorial Hospital, Antigo, for over twenty years as a medical transcriptionist. She later worked from home, transcribing medical records for several other private companies until her retirement in 2013.
Jane was a lifelong member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church, White Lake, where she was an organist for many years. She played for weddings and funerals and assisted other area churches whenever asked.
She loved to cook and bake, often making a sweet treat for church and family gatherings. She cherished spending time with her children and grandchildren and cooking or baking their favorite meals and desserts. Jane read her bible every day. She enjoyed reading, playing cards, travel, and spending time at the casino with Jim. She also enjoyed getting together with former coworkers for breakfast or lunch gatherings. Jane was an avid Wisconsin sports fan, never missing a Badgers, Brewers, Bucks, or Packers game.
Jane is survived by her husband Jim, their three sons, and three grandchildren, Timm (Jeanette) and grandson Michael of Independence, KY, Mark (Cheryl), along with granddaughter Meghan, of St. Paul, MN, and grandson Thomas of Eau Claire, and James II (Welcome) of Lake Mills. She is also survived by three sisters, Harriet (Frank) Allen, Dillon, MT, Mary L. Pomasl, Antigo, Carole (Steve) Destache, DePere, and extended family, Barbara Summ of Madison, Peggy (Kenneth) Shadick, Shawano, Connie (Michael) Brummer and Debbie (Robert) Laehn, both of Antigo, and Jack (Jennifer) Rose, Madison, along with many nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her parents, her father and mother-in-law Rufus and Evelyn Rose, brothers-in-law John Pomasl, Richard Rose, Michael Rose, and Gene Summ, and sisters-in-law Donna Rose and Jardis Rose.
At Jane’s request, there will be no services for the public.
