Janice Mary Grosskurth

Janice Mary Grosskurth, age 83, of Town of Rolling, passed away April 8, 2025 at Aspirus Rhinelander Hospital.

She was born on October 30, 1941 in Antigo to the late William and Ruth (Hartman) Hubatch.

She was a graduate of Antigo High School class of 1959. Janice was united in marriage to Karl Grosskurth on August 30, 1962 at St. John Catholic Church. He survives.

Janice worked as a beautician at Mode Beauty Shop, a cook at Shremps’s Drive-In and in food service at Pleasant View School.

She was a 4- H leader for several years and was a member of Ss. Mary and Hyacinth’s Catholic Church.

Survivors in addition to her husband include a daughter Pamela (Dan) Houden of Antigo, 2 sons: Rodney Grosskurth and Tim (Carmen) Grosskurth all residing in the Town of Rolling, a brother James Hubatch, a sister-in-law Rosemary Grosskurth and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Janice was preceded in death by, sisters-in-law: Gerta (Fred) Henkelman, Connie Hubatch, Irmgard (Ervin) Bunge, Thea Lee, brothers-in-law Ernest Grosskurth, Werner Grosskurth, and Gary Grosskurth.

Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11:00 AM at Strasser-Roller Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Friday from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at the funeral home.

The Very Reverend Joel Sember will officiate. Interment will be in Elmhurst Cemetery.

Memorials in Janice’s name may be directed to the Langlade County Humane Society.
