Janis M. Warner

Janis M. Warner, age 87, of Antigo, passed away on December 22, 2024 at Rosalia Gardens under the care of LeRoyer Hospice.

Jan was born on March 11, 1937 in Merrill, WI to the late Emery and Lorraine (Genrich) Harder.

She was a graduate of Merrill High School, attended UW Eau Claire and then Lincoln County Rural Normal School obtaining her teaching certificate.

On May 28, 1960, Jan was united in marriage to John D. Warner at St. Robert’s Bellarmine in Merrill. John preceded her in death on May 29, 2023.

Jan was a member of St. John Catholic Church in Antigo, where she was a member of the choir and enjoyed volunteering in many ways. Jan’s kindness and love towards others will be remembered by many and she will be dearly missed.

She is survived by her son Douglas Warner of Pelican Lake, a sister-in-law Dawn Ofsthun, and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, Jan was preceded in death by her son Dominic Warner.

A memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, January 25 at 11:00 AM at St. John Catholic Church in Antigo with visitation from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM prior to mass in Hoffmann Hall at St. John.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established in Jan’s name.
