Jennifer Anne Schlundt

August 31, 1961 — May 30, 2026

Jennifer Ann Schlundt, age 63, of Antigo passed away from complications of brain cancer, which she battled courageously for many years on Saturday, May 30, 2026 at Evergreen Terrace surrounded by and under the care of her loving family and friends.

Jenny was born on August 31, 1962 in Antigo to the late James and Mary Ellen (Shaughnessy) Draeger.

On June 29, 1985, she was united in marriage to her best friend David Schlundt at St. John Catholic Church in Antigo.

A graduate of Antigo High School class of 1981, Jenny went on to study chemistry at UW -Stevens Point where she graduated as the most Outstanding Chemistry Major in her class.

In the early years of their marriage, Jenny and Dave resided in Milwaukee where she worked as a chemist for Johnson Wax in Racine. As their family grew, they made the move back to Antigo when they purchased and ran for 13 years the McDonalds franchise where they had both worked together in high school. She also worked at Northern Lake Service in Crandon as an Environmental Chemist, was co owner of The Refuge Restaurant, Managed Bass Lake Restaurant and Bar, and worked at Aspirus Langlade Hospital as Volunteer Coordinator and Community Health Foundation Director. Along the way she found the time to raise 5 wonderful children alongside grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends.

Jenny had a true passion to serve the community and the people she loved. She did this by coming to the aid of people and organizations in need. She successfully spearheaded fundraising events that benefited a multitude of community needs and individuals facing dire circumstances, be it illness, injury or other hardship situations. If someone needed help she was the first one there and the last one to leave. The organizations she served and the people she helped are way too numerous to mention.

Her heart was huge, she was selfless to a fault and never wanted recognition for her deeds. In 2012, she received the outstanding alumnus award from Antigo High school for her outstanding work in the community. Her love was deeply felt by all who knew her, and she leaves bright colorful memories for her friends and family to hold dear forever.

In addition to her husband, Dave, Jenny is survived by her children: Melissa (Tom) Bemis of Neenah, Matt (Kaitlin) Schlundt of Bass Lake, Morgan (Keith) Lindell of Nashville, TN, Maria Schlundt of Nashville, TN, and Alex Schlundt (Billy Mirasola) of Milwaukee, a grandson Paxton Bemis, siblings; Dan Draeger (Patty Rehorst) of Hortonville, her twin brother Joe (Susan) Draeger of Bass Lake, Susie (Rob) Schroeder of Antigo, Sarah (Gary) Voytovich of Bass Lake, many nieces and nephews and friends that she considered family.

A memorial mass will be held on Wednesday, June 3rd at 2:00 PM at St. John Catholic Church. Reverend Charles Hoffmann and Very Reverend Joel Sember will officiate. Visitation will be from 10:00AM until the service at the church. Following the mass a gathering will be held at Bass Lake Country Club, W106550 Bass Lake Rd., Deerbrook, WI 54409.
