Joannie Bothum-Baker

Joannie Bothum-Baker, age 66 of Lily, passed away battling cancer on July 31, 2021. Joannie was born on June 3, 1955 to the late Robert and Dorothy (Wage) Salb. She graduated from Jefferson High School in 1973. After high school, she worked catching live bait and at Spychalla Potato Farm. In 2000 she was united in marriage to Harvey Baker. He preceded her in death on July 6, 2020. Joannie enjoyed gardening, especially her petunias. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her sisters, daughter, and woodchuck named cutie. Joannie was so loved and will be greatly missed. Joannie is survived by her daughter; Dolly Bothum of Lily, siblings; Jim (Franny) Salb of TN, Carol Lumby of Sextonville, Judy (Jerome) of Milford, Vicki (Jim) of Watertown, and Jean (Henry) Cruz of Watertown. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by brothers Robert “Bob” Salb and Jerry Salb. In accordance with Joannie’s wishes, no services will be held.
