John A. Scott

John Allen Scott died December 31, 2013 at St. Michael's Hospital in Stevens Point at the age of 58. He was born Dec. 12, 1955 in Antigo, son of the late Delmar and Betty Lee Scott. He is survived by 3 sisters, Linda Lee Wise of Waupaca, Cynthia Louise Scott of Antigo, and Deborah Ann Scott of Menasha; a brother, Jerry Dean (Jean Mueller-Scott) Scott, Sr. of Sheboygan; and a sister-in-law, Ann Scott. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 brothers, William Thomas Scott, and Stephen Ray Scott. Our brother, the son of wonderful and dedicated parents, passed away and is now on a journey to be with past family members in paradise---a place John so dearly deserves. Diagnosed with cerebral palsy and a mental disorder at birth, John was still full of life. He always had a smile and was as active as life would allow. He enjoyed bowling, watching the Packers, Badgers and Bucks and visits from the family along with family reunions. He also participated in various marathons. He surely had the competitive, never say die attitude displayed by all in the Scott family. We will miss your exuberant joy for life John. You taught us with your limitations how to enjoy life and make the most of it. Thank you John, we love you. A funeral service will take place at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, January 13 at Strasser-Roller Funeral Home, with Rev. Karen Tews officiating. Visitation will be 2:30-3:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
