John D. Warner

John D. Warner of Antigo passed away on May 29, 2023 at Aspirus Langlade Hospital. He was 88 years old.

John was born on April 16, 1935 in Antigo to the late William and Ivol (Olson) Warner. On May 28, 1960, he was united in marriage to Janis Harder at St. Roberts Bellamarine, Merrill, WI.

John graduated from Antigo High School, Class of 53. He served in the United States Air Force from 1954 to 1974. He was a member of the Antigo Elks Club and a member of St. John Catholic Church.

John loved to be around people. He kept his friends close and treasured every moment spent with family. All who were blessed to know John will miss him dearly.

In addition to his wife Jan of Antigo, John is survived by a son Doug Warner of Pelican Lake, sister Dawn Ofsthun of Antigo, and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by a son Dominic Warner, 3 sisters and 2 brothers.

A Mass of Christian Burial for John will take place on Saturday, June 10, 2023 at 11:00 AM at St. John Catholic Church with Father Charles Hoffmann officiating. Prior to the service, the Elks Lodge of Sorrow will be at 9:00 AM at the church. Visitation will then be from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM. Burial will follow the service at Queen of Peace Cemetery where military honors will take place.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in John’s name may be directed to All Saints Catholic School.
