John R. "Ray" Dahlen

John R. "Ray" Dahlen, age 100, died April 8 at Homme Home in Wittenberg. Mr. Dahlen was born October 21, 1910 to the late Charles Dahlen and Mary (Dick) Dahlen in Racine, WI.Ray married Vonda H. Hunter on July 20, 1935 in Racine, WI. She preceded him in death.Ray retired from the John Oster. CO of Milwaukee and moved to Post Lake in 1962, where he built a modern cottage on Vonda Hunters' family property. Ray lived on Post Lake until 2007 when he entered Homme Home.Ray is survived by a son Todd (Wendy) Dahlen of Fort Myers, FL and 3 grandchildren, Bradly Byerlin, Audra Peterson, and Hunter Dahlen, all in Florida.In addition to his wife, Ray was preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara.A memorial service will be held on Monday, April 25 at 1:30 PM at Strasser-Roller Funeral Home. Rev. Karen Zutz Rendall will officiate. Visitation will be from 12:30 until the service at the funeral home.Interment will be in Bent Cemetery.
