John Snopl

John Snopl, age 97, of Deerbrook died Friday, April 29, 2022 in Rhinelander, WI. John was born on November 17, 1924 in Deerbrook to the late John and Frances (Horacek) Snopl. He was married to Eileen Higgins. Together they had six children. Eileen preceded John in death. He was then united in marriage to Elizabeth Kern. She survives and resides in Deerbrook. John dairy farmed and later became a carpenter. He was a lifelong resident of Deerbrook. He graduated from Antigo High School in 1942. He was a member of the Jehovah's Witness Church. In addition to his wife, John is survived by three daughters: Sally Strom, Marie Locher, Tina Burtus, many grandchildren, and many great grandchildren. In addition to his parents and first wife, John was preceded in death by a daughter Kathy Roth, and two sons: Gerry and Tom Snopl. In accordance with his wishes no formal services will be held. Strasser-Roller Funeral Home is assisting the family.
