Joseph Carl Frederick

Joseph Carl Frederick of Elcho passed away unexpectedly on December 14, 2021 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital at the age of 75. Joe was born on June 30, 1946 in Laona, WI to the late Joseph and Margaret (Koch) Frederick. Joe grew up in southern Wisconsin, living in Milwaukee, Colgate, Germantown, and West Bend. On March 26, 1966, Joe was united in marriage to Sharon Karceski. She survives. In 2010 the couple settled in Elcho. Joe worked as a truck driver. He was a fan of racing and football, specifically the Packers. He also had a passion for old cars; a passion he shared with his son. Above all, he loved his family which included his cat, Sassy and granddogs; Jordy and Kobe. In addition to his wife, Joe is survived by a son Rick (Kandi) Frederick of Jackson, grandchildren; Karly (Evan Enders) Frederick of Appleton and Derick Frederick of Jackson, sister Judith Strand of Slinger, brothers and sisters-in-law; Carol Karceski, Nancy (Ralph Krell) Krueser, Linda (Bob) Schambaugh, Carol (Eric) Yager, Jerry (Anna) Karceski, and Greg (Debbie) Karceski and many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. In addition to his parents, Joe was preceded in death by brothers and sisters-in-law; Don Karceski and Kathy (Mel) Beach. Celebrations of Joe’s life will be held Saturday, January 8 from 1:00 pm -4:00 pm at Wally & Bees Last Stop Resort, 1571 Lake Dr. Hubertus, WI and on Saturday, January 29 from 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm at Elcho Clubhouse, W10595 County Rd. K, Elcho, WI.
