Judith "Judy" McCormick of Antigo passed away peacefully on January 19, 2022 at the age of 82. Judy was born on March 13, 1939 in Antigo, WI to the late Henry and Rose (Paajanen) Ehlers. On March 17, 1960 she was united in marriage to Robert "Bob" McCormick in Syracuse, NY. Bob preceded her in death on December 17, 2021. Judy was a dedicated wife, mother, grandma, aunt and friend. She was sure to brighten your day or make you laugh with her great stories. Judy had been involved with animal rescue for many years, was involved in her church, and helped with local domestic violence organizations. If you met her once you had a friend for life, especially if you had a dog in your car, you may be in for a long conversation. She had a quick wit and was easy to laugh and laughed often, she was also had a bit of a lead foot and was looking forward to getting a Dodge Charger when she got better. Judy is survived by children; Scott (Kris) McCormick and Shane (Stephanie) McCormick, grandchildren; Max (Alexis) McCormick, Abby McCormick (Jordan Bardwell), Sam McCormick, Zachary Berhow, Kasey McCormick, and Lucas McCormick, brothers-in-law; Mike (Cathy) Hubatch and Arliss Strobel, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Judy was preceded in death by her sister; Phyllis Hubatch, brother; Paul Ehlers, sister-in-law; Collette Strobel, and brother-in-law; Stephen McCormick. In accordance with Judy's wishes, a celebration of life is being scheduled for the spring. In leu of flowers the family has set up a memorial fund in their parent's honor at the Antigo Elk's Club. This fund will support local scholarships. In their honor the Elk's Club will rename their annual golf outing after them.
