Judith M. Gable

Judith "Judy" M. Gable, age 76, of Post Lake died Friday August 22, 2014 at Langlade Hospital under the care of her family and LeRoyer Hospice. Mrs. Gable was born on July 26, 1938 in Illinois a daughter of the late Herman and Ruth (Strange) Rabe. She was united in marriage to James F. Gable on January 19, 1957 at St. Mary of Celle, Berwyn Illinois. He survives. Mrs. Gable was employed as a bookkeeper for an auto parts store, and book publisher and later worked in Mole Lake at the pallet factory. Survivors in addition to her husband include, 3 daughters, Susan (Walter) Wegloski of Park City, IL, Carla Gable of Chicago, IL, Ruth (Ryan) Ready of Harwood Heights, IL; 2 sons, James F. Gable II, Christopher (Diane) Gable of Rhinelander; 11 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren. A memorial service will take place at 11:00 on Saturday, Oct. 11 at Madison Funeral Home in Elgin, IL. Visitation will be 9:00-11:00 at Madison Funeral Home. Burial at Bluff City Cemetery in Elgin will follow the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Judy's name may be directed to the American Cancer Society.
