June Nathlie Mikesell

June Nathlie Mikesell, age 94 passed away December 5th 2021 at the home of her daughter Denee under the care of family and LeRoyer Hospice. June was born October 30th 1927 in the town of Rib Falls to the late John C and Clara (Fishbach) Zastrow. She married LaVerne (Mike) Mikesell on April 5th 1952. He preceded her in death in 1997. She resided mostly in Wausau with her husband Mike, proprietor of “Mikes Refrigeration” She was a homemaker and also answered calls for the business. They later moved to Tigerton in 1978. She most recently resided at Stonecrest Residence in Wausau. She enjoyed family, collecting antiques, refinishing furniture, studying the Bible and loved animals especially her childhood dog Don and her cats. Survivors include her children Debra (Lawrence) Marquis of Gleason, Dean (Robin) Mikesell of Trenton Alabama and Denee Mikesell of Antigo. Grandchildren: Larry (Cindy), Trisha (Shawn), Heather (Jake), Andy, Jim, Joshua (Jo), Justin (Kasey), Jasen (Jodi) and Jessica (Burt). Great grandchildren: Jacinda, Amira, Trevar, Matthew, Mitchell, Cierra, Bailey, Jessica, Jennifer, Jayden, Jori, Julian, Zander, Renee, Laine, Claire, Trenton, Jazmyn, Julius, Jorjia, Jaxyon, Alexis and Colton. Great-Great Grandchildren Aria and Amiyah. June was preceded in death by her sister Joyce Voigt. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, December 8 at 11:30 am at Hamburg Cemetery in Hamburg, WI. Strasser-Roller Funeral Home is assisting the family.
