On August 21, 2011, the Lord called home the most amazing person, Kathleen Grace Kennedy. Her life was full of love and strength to all those around her. On Sunday her loving family surrounded her as she was born into the kingdom of God. She entered this world on August 27, 1934 and grew up with her parents Martin and Lena (Lange) Marifke and her 3 sisters in South Milwaukee. On August 8, 1953, she married the love of her life, Warren Kennedy. They enjoyed 58 years of marriage together and built a loving family in Oak Creek, WI where they raised their children and provided a wonderful childhood. In 1969, they purchased their first home in God's Country on Lower Clear Lake where she lived until her birth into heaven. Kathleen worked as a certified nursing assistant and also worked for Community Newspaper. She liked to play cards, swim, and make crafts as gifts for family and friends. She was a member of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church in Deerbrook and enjoyed singing at church. Her family was her dearest treasure. She loved when they brought a big catch of fish and she could clean them and fry them up for everyone. She had a kind heart, always thinking of others, including her dedication to gathering every pop tab she could for the Ronald McDonald House. In addition to her husband, Warren; Kathleen is survived by a daughter, Laura (Scott) Hafner Sheboygan, WI, 2 sons, Mark (Sarah Green) of Bristol, WI and Guy (Lynn) of Deerbrook, WI; six grandchildren; Sarah, Martin, Kathleen, Nolan, Kelsey, and Mickenzie; 2 great grandchildren; Madelyn and Hayden; a sister; Elaine (Kenneth) Banaszynski of Clear Water, FL and a brother-in-law Herman Kannaggeisser of New Berlin. Kathleen was preceded in death by her parents; 2 sisters; Gladys Braby and Betty Kannaggeisser, and a brother-in-law Robert Braby.
