Kathleen Rose Juliet Vacha

Kathleen Rose Juliet Vacha of Antigo, passed away on September 3, 2025 at home at the age of 75.
Kathy was born on May 30, 1950 in Antigo to the late Henry and Charlotte (Holeton) Packard. She graduated from Antigo High School, class of 1968 and went on to obtain her associate degree from North Central Technical College.She was united in marriage to Dale Vacha, Sr. on April 24, 1971 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Antigo. He preceded her in death on February 3, 2022.Kathy worked as an administrative assistant but dedicated most of her time to being a homemaker. In her younger years, she was active in 4-H and enjoyed bowling. More recently, she enjoyed crossword puzzles, crocheting, and shopping. Above all, she treasured time spent with family.Kathy is survived by children: Kate (Matt) Whitmore of Atlanta, GA and Dale “DJ” (Kim) Vacha Jr. of Madison, four grandchildren: Camron, Grant, Miles, and Nolan, sisters: Violet Bina of Deerbrook, and Bonnie Shafel of Antigo, brother: Bert (Kathy) Packard of Antigo, and brother-in-law Don Wirz, and her beloved canine companion Tess.In addition to her parents and husband, Kathy was preceded in death by sisters: Ida (Alex) Skupien, Nicky Wirz, and Helen (Carl) Kakes, brothers: Bob (Rosie) Packard and George (Pat) Packard, and brothers-in-law Richard Bina and Jim Shafel.
