Kathryn Mary Jacob

Kathryn Mary Jacob, age 71, of Antigo entered into eternal rest on Friday, December 4, 2020. She fought a courageous faith filled battle against cancer with the care and love of her family supporting her on this 3 year journey. Kathy was born on September 26, 1949 in Antigo to the late Theophil and Angeline (Schroepfer) Wojtasiak. Kathy attended St. Hyacinth’s Catholic School and graduated from Antigo High School. She was a lifelong member of Ss. Mary & Hyacinth’s Catholic Church. On February 24, 1973, she married Randy Jacob. The couple later divorced, remaining friends. Randy preceded her in death on October 27, 2020. Kathy worked for Wisconsin Public Service and People’s Bank. She then served as deputy clerk for Langlade County for 7 years and in 1995 was elected Langlade County Clerk. Kathy held the position for 20 years, until her retirement on August 31, 2015. Kathy volunteered at Aspirus Langlade Hospital, often in the dialysis center and volunteered at Ss. Mary and Hyacinth’s Catholic Church. She enjoyed wood carving and flower gardening. Above all, she loved her family dearly and the time they shared together. Survivors include 2 daughters; Suzanne (Matthew) Marquardt of Clintonville and Julie (Logan) Behm of Antigo, grandchildren; Jacob and Trevin Marquardt and Ellison and Clayton Behm, a sister Patricia (David) Dvorachek, a brother Thomas (Sharon) Wojtasiak, a sister-in-law Barb Wojtasiak, Randy’s sister Linda Jaindl, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and Randy, Kathy was preceded in death by 2 brothers; James and Edward Wojtasiak, a sister Marie Chapman, brother-in-law Roland Chapman and Randy’s brother-in-law Frank Jaindl. A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday at 12:00 noon at Ss. Mary & Hyacinth’s Catholic Church. Visitation will be from 10:00AM until 11:45AM at the church. Interment will be in Queen of Peace Cemetery. Those in attendance will be asked to social distance and wear a mask. Strasser-Roller Funeral Home is assisting the family.
